Jeffrey G. Holcomb

It is only natural that Jeffrey G. Holcomb became an attorney. His father, the late John F. Holcomb, was the Butler County Prosecutor for more than 30 years. While in law school, Jeff clerked for a judge in the Butler County Court of Common Pleas. After law school, he began working for the family law firm.

In his first divorce case, he was opposite John Garretson, a prominent divorce attorney, who was impressed with Jeff’s legal skills and hired him afterward. Jeff worked for Mr. Garretson for several years, during which time he handled hundreds of divorce, dissolution, post-decree, and custody cases. In 2001, he became a partner and the firm changed from John A. Garretson, Co., LPA to Garretson & Holcomb, LLC.

Jeff handles cases in several areas of law but concentrates on domestic relations cases. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio and is a member of the Butler County, Ohio State and American Bar Associations.

He is listed in Who’s Who Worldwide. Jeff is a graduate of the University of Toledo College of Law and of Xavier University. He played college baseball at Xavier. He has applied the same traits of hard work and preparation learned in athletics to his law practice. Jeff has represented a broad spectrum of clients. These clients have included successful small business owners, professionals, and their spouses.

In July of 2017, Jeff became sole owner of Garretson and Holcomb, LLC
